From the very beginning, we at Oniverse have not only strived to offer products of the highest quality that are a pleasure for our customers to wear, but also to promote the highest quality of life at work for our employees.

To succeed in improving the lives of our employees, customers and the environment around us is a clear objective that has always been part of our culture and evolution.
As part of this route, we have studied and appreciated the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda and its 17 goals (or “SDGs”).
We have identified the quantitative and qualitative indicators that are best suited, in our situation, to measure progress according to the route set out by the SDGs, also taking into account the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) recommendations.
Best practices in terms of non-financial reporting restrict the subject of company effort to the topics most relevant to stakeholders.
In 2017, through an internal materiality analysis, Oniverse identified the priorities to focus its efforts on, comparing available documentation on the market and the results of other companies in the industry, nationally and internationally.
The process, which is inspired by the Guidelines to the Global Reporting Initiative Standards 2016, took place over three phases:
Research and identify the relevant topics, that is, those of potential interest to the Group and its stakeholders, supported by an examination of the Code of Ethics and by a benchmark analysis on the non-financial reporting produced by the major listed companies in the textile, clothing and retail industry.
Assessment of the relevant topics: in the first two exercises of defining the materiality matrix, the assessment of the priorities to be assigned to the relevant topics, for the Group and external stakeholders, was entrusted to the management of the Group’s main Italian companies. Starting FY 2020, the managers of all Group companies and the main suppliers are expected to be involved.
Identification of material topics. The assessment revealed a first materiality matrix, comprising 7 material topics:
The Group has embarked on a long and meticulous journey to map its impacts at the Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 levels, with the aim of defining decarbonization targets and send them for approval to the the Science Based Target Initiative by 2025. Through the definition of these targets, we aim to outline a strategy to minimize our impacts and regularly communicating the progress made towards achieving our goals.
In gathering the necessary information for the preparation and success of this ambitious project, a plan of involvement and awareness-raising among all internal stakeholders in the company has been implemented. This initiative is crucial, as they are the main actors who will need to make the most appropriate decisions to ensure the achievement of the objectives set by this project. To this end, the managers involved in the project will receive decarbonization targets in addition to their current operational goals, ensuring that sustainability variables are integrated into the business.
This is a very ambitious project, given the nature of the group, which has a highly vertical supply chain at its core, comprising 30 plants and 15 logistics hubs.
