The very essence of Sardinia, starting from the wine
A wine-making company with vines in the very heart of Sardinia, in Guardia Grande, developed in depth, literally in the soil. Wines created with the favour of the north-west mistral wind, between Capo Caccia and the bay of Porto Conte.
Podere Guardia Grande is the new vine-growing project of the Veronesi family, always passionate about the town of Alghero, on Sardinia’s north-west coast, in an area that has remained uncontaminated and wild, coloured by a brick red clay soil.
Sardinia is a sort of miniature “continent”, fascinating and easy to fall in love with and which automatically demands respect. In this so genuine place, where the beauty is truly overwhelming and everyone is immersed in their own time, we have decided to bring a new vine-growing project to life.
We work our vines and respect a generous territory “as a consequence of what should now be the “normal” approach to agriculture, because there is no reason to do otherwise”.
Saldenya: 100% Vermentino di Sardegna
In Alghero’s own version of Catalan, Saldenya means Sardinia.
Nascimento: 100% Cannonau
The name is inspired by the “mysterious birth”, as Sebastiano Satta defined the wine-making process.
L’Alghè: 100% Cagnulari
L’Alghè is a homage to Alghero, the town of coral.
