A Journey Through the Group’s Logistics

Vallese and Castagnaro celebrate 25 and 20 Years

This year marks two important anniversaries in the history of Oniverse’s logistics: the 25th anniversary of our Vallese Distribution Center and the 20th anniversary of our Castagnaro Distribution Center. These hubs have been at the heart of the Group’s growth journey, enabling our brands to expand, accelerate, and reach customers all over the world with the reliability and speed that define us today.

We had the opportunity to celebrate these milestones together: relive the most memorable moments by watching the event video.

From the first warehouse…

The origins of our logistics network date back to the late 1990s, when the Group’s growth made it clear how strategically important it was to manage processes internally to ensure control over lead times, cost efficiency, and rapid market responsiveness.

From this vision, the first Vallese facility was born, which in 2000 became a fully dedicated Distribution Center for Calzedonia and Intimissimi. The “man-to-goods” picking model, simple and highly efficient, proved immediately successful and still forms the foundation of our operational approach today.

In 2005, the development of new brands and new markets required additional capacity: this led to the inauguration of the second center in Castagnaro, replicating the Vallese model and thereby strengthening the performance of the entire network.

Over time, our logistics hubs have supported the Group’s internationalization, ensuring that millions of garments quickly reach stores and e-commerce customers around the world.

Key global milestones include the opening of our first international hub in Brazil in 2012, followed by Croatia (2014), China (2019), USA (2020), Poland (2021), UK (2023), Russia (2025), and Japan (2025). In parallel, over the past decade, additional logistics facilities have been developed across Italy in response to the Group’s strong growth and the expansion of its brands: Gissi (Falconeri), Castel Goffredo (Emé), and Casalmoro (IUMAN).

Each new facility is established with common goals: to bring products closer to the customer, reduce time-to-market, and support e-commerce growth.

Today, the Vallese Distribution Center manages Intimissimi and Signorvino, while Castagnaro coordinates Tezenis, Technical Area, Marketing, and Raw Materials.

Large-scale growth

The numbers tell a story of exponential growth. In the early 2000s, Vallese shipped around 60 million items per year, and Castagnaro about 27 million. By 2024, Vallese had reached 75 million items, while Castagnaro hit an extraordinary 170 million.

This evolution is also reflected in our people: from around 150 collaborators in the early 2000s to 750 today, distributed across the two hubs.

Milestones

Managing the Covid-19 emergency represents one of the key moments in our evolution. With e-commerce growing from 3 to 30 million items, the network reinvented itself rapidly. Direct support from the HQ teams to the warehouses ensured operational continuity. That sense of unity and shared spirit remains one of the most significant chapters in our logistics history.

New investments

This turning point also spurred new investments: the introduction of two pouch sorters (automated systems for online orders) improved speed and accuracy, and the distribution network was completely redesigned with the onboarding of new couriers and the strengthening of long-standing partnerships.

Innovation

Innovation remains at the heart of our logistics strategy, with projects such as expanding RFID technology for greater visibility and precision, introducing robotics to support the teams, and optimizing time-to-market through local hubs and enhanced systems. The goal is clear: maintain agility, competitiveness, and alignment with the needs of stores and customers.

Beyond systems and numbers, the true strength of our logistics lies in our people, whose dedication, commitment, and teamwork have made the success of these years possible.

As we celebrate these anniversaries, we look ahead with the same goal as always: to support the growth of our brands, reach customers more efficiently, and provide our teams with tools and environments that continue to evolve.
