Metal furnishings

• Many of the suppliers are certified EN1090 to guarantee the release to the market of safe, structural carpentries and compliant with standard UNI ENISO 3834, which governs welding metal materials. Metals are used with recycled material contents;
• Waste created from the processing of iron, steel and aluminium is recycled to obtain a new raw material;
• Non-toxic, water-based paints are used, which do not contain lead and powder recovery systems.

Technical lighting and technological materials

• We have been using LED lighting in our sales outlets for some time now, with controlled processes and high energy efficiency materials, in respect of the EC “Ecodesign” Directive 2009/125/EC for energy saving;
• The programme for the elimination of traditional lighting systems from sales outlets, in favour of more modern technologies, is explained in the paragraph on “Our stores”;
• We use high-performance power supplies and drivers and raw materials obtained from recycling sources;
• Coatings are entirely solvent-free and the processes involve systems to collect the powders.

Plastic furnishings

• We use machines equipped with fume suction systems and filters to reduce pollutants (Italian suppliers comply with “AUA” (single environmental authorisation) requirements). Production waste is recycled directly within the production chain;
• The plastic materials used make it possible to use articles for a long period of time, at least 5 years, after which they can all be recycled;
• Items are sent out without hangers, thereby reducing the annual consumption of plastic and optimising transport.

Floors

• All floor suppliers are certified ISO14001/14021/9001 with Ecolabel certification, the European regulation that establishes environmental and industrial policy criteria.
• They are also members of the Green Building Council Italia, a voluntary system for adhesion by companies that can implement a precise sustainable development corporate policy.
