A concrete and immediate gesture

CALZEDONIA GROUP IN SUPPORT OF THE HEALTHCARE EMERGENCY

From the outset of the Covid-19 healthcare emergency, the Calzedonia Group has responded to the appeals of institutions with concrete, immediate actions in support of the efforts and commitment of those who fight every day to protect us from the virus.

As of March 23rd, the Group made available several of its plants and resources, converting a number of production facilities to the manufacture of masks and gowns for medical use, with the aim of donating PPE to institutions in need.

Now that hopefully the acute stage is over, this production allows the Group to guarantee also the safety of its employees and customers.

The plants that were converted to production of PPE are located in Avio (TN) and Gissi (CH), in Italy, in addition to plants owned by the Verona-based Group and located in Croatia, Serbia, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia.

The donations of masks and gowns helped more than 250 non-profit organizations, including hospitals in Italy, civil protection personnel, numerous municipalities and NPOs.
