PLANT REOPENING

The Itaca plant in Ethiopia, which closed in November 2020 due to the Tigray War, resumed production on 18 October 2023.
After an initial period spent re-starting up the equipment and plants of the factory and ensuring the professional refresher courses for its staff, 12 production lines have now been reactivated with around 450 employees dedicated to processing Outlet orders.

Over the next few months, the aim is to also extend production to Tezenis items, with the plan being to restore the previous production capacity during the first half of 2024.
The reinstatement of all staff will take place gradually, with a careful training path pursued.

Reactivation of the company nursing service, support with staff medical expenses and the definition of a project to offer psychological support are all an integral part of the re-start process.
The plant reopening is an important step for the Group, which confirms its commitment in Ethiopia.
